We welcome Taous Merakchi who will present "The Peacock", a story which looks back on her quest for identity as a woman of Kabyle origin.
Every month, the Female Gaze Book Club explores a feminist theme and invites an author to talk to us about her work.
In June, the author Taous Merakchi will talk to us about her essay “Le Paon” (Ed. JC Lattès).
Taous means “peacock” in Kabyle. The author returns to her place in French society. The racist mockery, the pseudonym Jack Parker used for a long time and then learning to love herself: a French woman of Algerian origin.
