MOB HOTEL Bordeaux, Quais de Brazza, 2026In 2026, MOB HOTEL will be opening its doors in Bordeaux. The location chosen is the Quais de Brazza area opposite the Cité du Vin and near the Darwin (Caserne Niel) site and the Arkéa Arena.
The iconic Halle Soferti is set for refurbishment. MOB is cleaning up this former fertiliser market and renovating it in a process that will preserve the remarkable wooden framework. The bedrooms are designed for the best possible night’s sleep with natural and local materials, and the organic toiletries are made locally in Gradignan. This MOB blends into its local environment, providing guests and neighbours with family vegetable gardens and a varied events schedule themed around culture, agriculture, social ecology and citizen interaction.
This mindful private general-interest space will include an AB-certified organic bar/restaurant, eco-constructed areas, evidence of a desire to work towards energy independence with over 350 solar panels on the roof, and greywater and rainwater recycling. Indoor and outdoor will intertwine through openings, melding with a vast greenhouse and its saltwater pool.
