Every month, the Female Gaze Book Club explores a feminist theme and invites an author to tell us about her work.
In May, we welcome Jennifer Padjemi, journalist and author.
She will come and talk to us about her essay “Selfie, how capitalism controls our bodies” published by Éditions Stock.
After "Feminism and pop culture" published in 2021 and the podcast "Mirror, mirror" (Binge Audio) which analyzes representations of the body and appearance, Jennifer Padjemi is conducting a committed investigation here to show how modern capitalism has recovered the movements who work for the liberation of the body, and urges us to fight against these new injunctions.
