ON THE PROGRAM FOR MAY 22ND - Let's Fight the Countryside: Our Collective Struggles - Discussions & Tastings.
How do some rural and peasant women become involved in the struggle to the point of shifting future political boundaries, even beyond the confines of the countryside? This is the question we wanted to address by introducing you to Thien Uyen Do, farmer, harvester, winemaker, fermenter, and author of a fascinating essay: "Fermentation Rebellion" (Éditions des Équateurs).
With:
· Claire Desmares, farmer, Regional Councilor, President of the Ecologists group in the Brittany Region, and author of L'Exode Urbain, Manifesto for a Positive Rurality (2020, Editions Terre Vivante) and La belle vie, manual of positive ecology, published on March 20, 2025 by First.
· Thien Uyen Do and Claire Desmares will answer questions from Lauren Malka from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to tell us about their careers, their civic and activist commitments.
For this second evening, before talking to us about her book and her struggles, Uyen wanted to introduce us to an activist author who has revolutionized her worldview.
Discussion followed by a tasting.
Books will be sold by the Audon bookstore, Story Board.
