David Bressat pianist and composer is present on many jazz scenes in France and abroad.

He has played alongside with a lot of famous musicians as Marcus Strickland, Dave Liebman, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Nelson Vera, etc.

He has been directing his own band for over 15 years (from trio to quintet) with whom he has recorded four albums. His latest album, David Bressat "Alive", has been acclaimed by the press and has won several awards: Revelation Jazz Magazine, Elected Citizen Jazz.

David is involved in many formations such as Chansongs - a tribute to Claude Nougaro, Isaac's Mood, a trio of jazz-groove and "équiper les anges", which shows up the music with the poetry of Katia Bouchoueva (contemporary poetess). He also plays in the formation Vincent Périer Septet feat. Célia Kaméni, Olivier Calvet Organ Trio and of course in the "OEUF Big Band" for over 10 years!

David is also an ardent campaigner for jazz in Lyon and is notably on the initiative of the Polycarpe Collective - a collective of Jazz musicians in Lyon - and founder of Periscope - concert hall and now Smac.

He is a full professor of jazz piano at the Departmental Radiation Conservatory of Bourg-en-Bresse and at the Conservatoire de Rayonnement Intercommunal de Villefranche-sur-Saône.
